Challenges are often raised against the Bible: "It is oppressive to women." "It promotes slavery." "It condones genocide." Megan will address these issues within a lesson on how to approach and understand the Bible for what it is.

Why I Am a Christian | Alycia Wood
What has compelled me to believe in Christianity when I have doubted Christianity in the past? It is the perfection and unity of the Christian belief system in addition to the evidence for God. In this talk I will look at why I choose Christianity over all the other belief systems.

Sex Matters: Understanding the Differences Between Male and Female and Why It Is Good | Erin Kunkle
Our culture can no longer explain the unique differences between men and women. Sadly, many Christians can do no better. This talk will help unravel the bad ideas about gender that our culture has embraced and then lay out a true and biblical picture of masculinity and femininity that honors our God-given design.

Beyond "Because the Bible Says So": Natural Law and Public Christian Witness | Laura Zifer
How should Christians speak about morality in a pluralistic society where biblical authority is no longer widely accepted? This presentation explores the biblical and historical foundations of natural law and argues that Christians can speak publicly about justice, human dignity, liberty, and morality in ways that are both faithful to Scripture and publicly intelligible. Special attention is given to the relationship between revelation, reason, and the moral order of creation.

Contemporary Challenges to the Christian Faith: Pro-Gay Theology | Bridget Golubinski
This talk begins with a biblical sexuality overview and then gives context on the topic of homosexuality. Common pro-gay theology objections (Paul is only condemning pederasty, Jesus was silent on this issue, etc.) will be presented and then shown why they are false.

Did Jesus Really Claim to Be God? | Lori Morrow
Critics often accuse Christians of having zero evidence for their faith in Christ. Are they right? Did a group of disappointed disciples invent Jesus's divine identity? Are skeptics correct when they say that Jesus was merely a good teacher? Or Muslims when they claim that Jesus was merely a prophet? Can you, as a Christian, recall from memory one verse in which Jesus calls himself God? Come and learn why you can be confident in your faith in Jesus as God.

I am new to apologetics. Is this conference for me?
Absolutely, all of our speakers prepare their presentations for the the everyday Christian woman, whether you are new to apologetics or if you’ve been studying it for years. Regardless of your experience of apologetics, you will walk away feeling feeling more confident, encouraged, and equipped in Christian apologetics.
I’m looking for a hotel. Any recommendations?
There are several hotel options within a ½ hour drive that offer a range of amenities. We have partnered with a few hotels in the area to offer discounted rooms:

What about dinner on Friday and lunch on Saturday?
We recommend grabbing dinner before making your way to the WIA Conference on Friday, and enjoying your time at a local restaurant during the 1.5 hour lunch break on Saturday.

Will the Treat & Greet have allergy-free options?
Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate allergy-free options for the Treat & Greet.
Will there be a place to nurse my baby or pump?
Yes, there will be a mother’s room where moms can nurse or pump and will still be able to hear and see the event.
Can my husband come with me? What about my younger kids?
While this event is created for women in mind, we don’t discourage men from attending.
Because of the mature nature of some of the subjects that will be covered, we recommend attendees be at least 14 years of age. Except for babies/infants, any minors in attendance require a ticket to enter.
Will there be security?
Yes, the event will be professionally secured.
Are there group discounts?
We have made every effort to keep costs low but if you have a group of 10 or more, please reach out to WIA by emailing events@womeninapologetics.com.
What is the refund policy?
The WIA Conference is a “rain or shine” event. Provided that the event occurs as scheduled, we cannot issue a refund if you are unable to attend. If weather or other acts of God prevent the conference, we will make every effort to reschedule the event and transfer your registration. We will provide a refund if we are unable to reschedule the conference. See registration terms and conditions here.
